Borohkim’s Oriental Rugs
I, Albert Borokhim, was born in Iran. As a child I was raised very close to the village of Bijar and grew to love this village’s rugs because of their beautiful colors and designs, and most of all their durability. Known as the “Iron rugs of Persia,” Bijar rugs are good for hundreds of years and many generations. My father was in the Oriental rug business for 58 years and after I finished my education, I realized that rugs were my true passion.
Our family has been in the Oriental Rug business for years, as such we have a lot of experience and information about Bijar, Heriz, Kazak, Kahan, Gabeh, Kashkuli, Tabriz Rugs and many more.
In an effort to share this knowledge and create a forum where people can learn more about oriental rugs, ask questions, and get advice we created this blog. Please feel free to ask questions, share your experiences and knowledge about Oriental Rugs, or just learn more about these interesting, durable and beautiful rugs.
